Symposium 9
Interfacial Electrochemistry
Sponsoring Division: Division 7, Physical Electrochemistry
This symposium aims to present the latest advances in concepts, methodologies and theories of interfacial phenomena and processes at all kinds of electrochemical interfaces, including solid-liquid, liquid-liquid and soft interfaces. Emphasis will be focused on understanding charge transfer (electron and ion) processes, double layer structure and dynamics at single crystals, nanostructured electrodes and soft materials related to electrocatalysis, electrodeposition and bioelectrochemistry. Discussions on new trends in novel media and at novel interfaces in bridging nano and biosciences will be encouraged.
Topics include but are not limited to:
- Theoretical and computational methods addressing interfacial phenomena
- Spectroscopic and imaging techniques for interfacial characterization
- Charge transfer and kinetics
- Double layer phenomena
