Both a valid passport and a visa for visiting China are required. Participants can apply for either a tourist visa (L-visa) or a visitor visa (F-visa) for entry. The L-visa does not need a support invitation. If you are applying for an F-visa, please mark it on the online Hotel & Tour Registration Form (orMS-Word Hotel & Tour Registration Form) and fill in the first part completely, upon which the conference secretary in PKU will send you an official letter for your visa application. Please check with the nearest Chinese Embassy or Consulate or Visa Office for visa regulations at least 2 months prior to your traveling.
Tourist Visa (L Visa) is issued to an alien who comes to China for sightseeing or visiting family members or friends or for other personal affairs. Business Visa (F Visa) is issued to an alien who is invited to China for a visit, an investigation, a lecture, to do business, scientific-technological and culture exchanges, short-term advanced studies or internship for a period of no more than six months.
Please be aware that it is necessary to register for the Annual Meeting and make the payment before you receive the requested invitation for the VISA application.
If you need a statement of your hotel reservation for your VISA it can be sent upon request to you by FAX or email.
