The organizing committee of the 60th Annual Meeting of the ISE warmly invites you to participate in Emerging Trends and Challenges in Electrochemistry to be held August 16 to 21, 2009 in Beijing. Beijing, the capital, the political, cultural, and scientific centre of China, is one of the largest cities in the world with a long history. It was a capital of the Yuan, Ming and Qing Dynasties. On October 1, 1949, Beijing became the capital of the New China. Today’s Beijing is mingled with tradition and modernity. The 29th Olympic Games will be held in Beijing in 2008.
The Annual Meeting will involve all the Scientific Divisions of ISE, emphasizing the links between fundamental and applied aspects in each particular research domain. The meeting aims to bring chemists, physicists, biologists and materials scientists together to explore new activities in electrochemistry and to gain deeper insight into electrochemical science. Both experimentalists and theoreticians will present concepts, methods and ideas, discuss common challenges, and make future projections.
We look forward to having you share your newest ideas and results with us in Beijing in 2009.
