1) Registration: If you have pre-registered, please bring your registration number with you to the registration desk to pick up your registration package. Registration will be held in Yingjie Exchange Center, Peking University (please see map in the program) and will be open Sunday August 16 from 14:00-19:00. On Monday, the registration will be in the Lee Shau Kee Building, Peking University on Monday at 10:15-12:00 and at 14:00-19:00. For those who miss registration on Sunday, please attend the opening and plenary session first in the University Hall on Monday and then go to Lee Shau Kee Building for registration. Please see Program (website given above) on page xv for other days. For the benefit of those delegates who have registered and paid in advance, we will have special Fast Track registration desks, organized numerically by Participant ID number.
IMPORTANT: Please ensure that you arrive with your Participant ID number.
2) Ground transportation from Beijing Capital International Airport to Peking University, the conference venue, or directly to your place of accommodation: The easiest way is to take a taxi. Please take a taxi from the taxi station at the ground floor of the Beijing Capital International Airport and you can show the bilingual note (attached below) to the taxi driver. It will cost about 120(RMB) from the airport to any of the hotels and Peking University.
NOTE: Please be aware that taxis or private cars are not allowed into Peking University campus. At the time of on-site registration, you will be given a name badge with which you can enter the campus. But on your first day before you get the badge, your passport or your identity card is required for entry.
2) Accommodation: If you are staying at conference-assigned hotels, please go directly to the hotel's front desk to check-in for your accommodation. If you haven't booked a hotel, there are still some rooms available in Friendship Hotel and you can make the reservation through email to oec238c@pku.edu.cn at your earliest convenience.
NOTE: If you have booked any of the conference-assigned hotels, please make sure you have got confirmation from the above email address. Otherwise, please make contact immediately.
- For those who have booked the Friendship Hotel, you will get an email from the above email address by August 1st indicating which building of Friendship Hotel you are going to stay in. Please go directly to the assigned building for check-in.
4) Shuttle bus: Shuttle buses will be provided which will run between Friendship Hotel and Peking University on Sunday, for registration; Welcome Reception; and Monday through Friday, for the conference. Please refer to the shuttle bus time schedule in the hotel lobby and conference venue.

Note that for oral presentations the times will be strictly adhered to so that delegates may move between Symposia. Please ensure that your talk is of the appropriate length.
For those presenting posters, please note that we will be supplying adhesive tapes to display your poster. If you do not wish to use them, then please bring your own Velcro to affix your poster to the poster board.
6) Division Meetings: Please note that all Divisions of ISE are hosting a reception meeting or lunch meeting to which you, as a member of ISE, are invited. The details of these Division Meetings are given on page xiii of the program (website given above).
7) Tours: For those who have booked any of the city excursions, accompanying person's tours and the post-conference tours, please go to the tour desk in Yingjie Exchange Center, Peking University for on-site registration on Sunday August 16, at 14:00-19:00. Please be aware that all payments will be made on-site using Chinese currency only. If you still want to book the city excursion and accompanying person's tours, please send an email to oec238c@pku.edu.cn before August 1. Booking after that or on-site booking will be considered but not guaranteed.
8) Climate: Please be aware that it will be very hot in Beijing. The highest temperature goes to 37°C, and it sometimes rains.
9) Health Insurance: We suggest that you carry some emergency medicine and your own travel/health insurance in case of sickness or accident.

How to get to the Conference Center
By taxi
It takes about 45 minutes by taxi from Beijing International Airport to Peking University, entering from west gate for vehicles. The taxi fee amounts to 80-120 RMB.

By airport coach
You can take the airport coach from the entrance of international arrival terminal to the north entrance of YouYi Hotel (Friendship Hotel). The fee is about 16 RMB. Then take a taxi to Peking University, about 15 RMB .
Specific H1N1 screening procedures on entry to China
While this information may change, we have been told that the Chinese government does not reject any visitors from H1N1 flu-affected areas. For flu control, all arriving international passengers will fill out a Health Declaration Form, including information concerning health condition, accommodation address and travel itinerary, etc. before they get off the plane. After the landing, passengers’ body temperatures will be taken before they get off the plane. Passengers with body temperatures higher than 37.5°C will be asked to take a medical test to find out whether they have been infected.
